Jerusalem not What I Expected

in Blog, Grand Adventures, Travel on 17/06/08

Jerusalem’s golden roof on the Dome of the Rock was shining bright the morning we arrive.  This Islamic holy place stands on a site that is sacred to Jews, Christians and Muslims. Sadly you can’t go inside unless you are Muslim. • To Jews, this is where Abraham was  prepared to offer his son Isaac on Mount Moriah. • To… View Post

Journey Back to the Ancient Village of Nazareth

in Blog, Grand Adventures, Travel on 15/06/08

The Nazareth Village is built on ancient agricultural land with  replicas of first-century houses, a synagogue, a watchtower, mikveh and olive presses that have been carefully constructed using the original building methods and materials. It’s a journey through an open air museum that is  re-creation of the hometown of Jesus. In the village, bible scenes are brought to life by “villagers”… View Post

Cairo – Pyramids, Camels and Pharaohs

in Blog, Grand Adventures, Travel on 14/06/08

Visiting Cairo, Egypt is definitely a bucket list experience. Walking the ancient ruins of the Pyramids of Giza was truly surreal. My first big surprise was the Pyramids of Giza are close.  How close?  This is looking out our hotel window.  For some reason I thought to see the Pyramids involved a trip to the desert.  I didn’t think could… View Post

Knossos Europe’s Oldest City and Ancient Myth

in Blog, Grand Adventures, Travel on 13/06/08

Crete’s Minoan Palace of Knossos is only 5 kilometers from Heraklion. It is a lot  more interesting to tour Knossos knowing about the myth of Theseus. Legend has it that King Minos, from Crete, had won a battle over Athens. As a result, every 9 years, Athens had to send 7 boys and 7 girls to Crete to feed the Minotaur. The Minotaur… View Post

Amalfi – A Day to Relax

in Blog, Grand Adventures, Travel on 13/06/08

Amalfi for the second time we decided just to relax and have lunch and people watch. One thing I love about Amalfi are the palm trees.  They surround the beautiful Arab-Romanesque buildings. This may look like a relaxing day at the beach but the beach is really made of small rocks.  But it was a beach and the water was… View Post

Oh, hi there!

I like to describe myself as a woman of leisure but in reality I’m Mr. B’s project manager. It’s not a bad gig and it does come with many benefits. I plan our trips, as we travel the world. I'm kept busy creating and designing our beautiful homes. The best perk is I usually chose the movie we see every Friday. I’m a part-time artist, with aspirations of becoming a full-time artist. Painting, photography and all types of crafting are my true loves. I like to say I’m an artist of many mediums and master of none.
My finest creations would be my five children. I’ve also allow them to parent my thirteen amazing grandchildren. My grandchildren are all brilliant, beautiful, spirited and take after me – their Mimi.
