Oceania’s Cruise Ship – Sirenia

Sirena – Oceania Cruise Ship

We’ve cruised on Oceania Cruise line almost a dozen times and it never disappoints. I love it because the staff is amazing. They are always happy and fun to talk with. The ship’s passengers are generally older and well traveled so it’s great to hear stories and get tips for our future trips. These are some of my favorites from this cruise.

We were at Sea quite a bit and at the start, we saw gorgeous sunrises. When we rounded the cape we saw equally beautiful sunsets.

It didn’t get warm enough at the beginning of the cruise to spend time on the sundeck but for the last week everyone enjoyed the sunshine.

This was my favorite spot for days at Sea. It’s was just behind the sundeck and the perfect place to read and relax.

Sitting at the back of the ship outside the Terrace Cafe was a lovely place for breakfast when we arrived and dinner when we sailed away. I should mention at the cafe Mr. B enjoyed the lobster and shrimp every night he could.

One of my favorites, especially on days at sea was Tea Time. Every day new pastries and sandwiches were served along with music from the ship’s string quartet.

The service was white glove and very elegant.

It’s worth repeating that the selection was endless and varied every day.

This was my favorite staff member, Kimberly. She was from Peru and left her 18-month-old little girl to serve us. She always recommended the best desserts.

This was one of my favorite dishes. It’s a breakfast casserole called Shakshuka which means mixture – it was delicious.

I had my birthday on board and they made this cute cake for me to help me celebrate.

Another favorite was the wonderful friends we met on the ship and went on excursions with. Some of them I found on Cruise Critic and we organized some tours ahead of the trip. We also played games and oftened dined together.

Being on the sundeck at night was special. There were few people and often I was alone as I walked along the upper deck.

It’s always hard to leave an Oceania Cruise after been treated with such professional care and high-quality service. Leaving their comfy beds behind and getting back to cooking, cleaning and dishes is the only bad thing about a cruise.

With Love From Mimi »

Oh, hi there!

I like to describe myself as a woman of leisure but in reality I’m Mr. B’s project manager. It’s not a bad gig and it does come with many benefits. I plan our trips, as we travel the world. I'm kept busy creating and designing our beautiful homes. The best perk is I usually chose the movie we see every Friday. I’m a part-time artist, with aspirations of becoming a full-time artist. Painting, photography and all types of crafting are my true loves. I like to say I’m an artist of many mediums and master of none.
My finest creations would be my five children. I’ve also allow them to parent my thirteen amazing grandchildren. My grandchildren are all brilliant, beautiful, spirited and take after me – their Mimi.
